There is no bottom film, bottom film, pre-coating film, UV film and other types, which helps to improve the abrasion resistance, water resistance, dirt resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and other properties of labels.
In the process of laminating, often encounter some bad laminating problems, such as wrinkles, bubbles, curls, etc., affect the quality of products, resulting in adverse consequences. So, what are the causes of bad laminating problems? How to avoid the occurrence of laminating problems?
1. Wrinkle
Laminating wrinkle and uneven are the most common problems in the laminating process of self-adhesive labels. Big wrinkles are easy to find, but some small ones are often easy to be ignored, resulting in a large increase in attrition rate. There are four main reasons for film-covered folds:
a. The press roller is uneven
The wrinkles caused by this situation are generally big and easy to be found by eyes. We can balance the pressure at both ends of the pressure roller by adjusting the springs at both ends of the pressure roller.
b. Aging of roller surface
Laminating roller with a long time uses the surface will be aging, cracking, hardening and other problems, this kind of pressure roller in the laminating is likely to lead to small wrinkles, not easy to be found, resulting in greater quality problems.Therefore, it should be replaced in time when the aging of the laminating roller is found. Similarly, if the surface of the laminating roller is hard, it may also lead to small bubbles or wrinkles, which also need to replace the laminating roller.
c. Uneven tension
The uneven tension here may be a problem of film materials, printing materials, or printing equipment. Once this happens, it is easy to lead to membrane-covered folds, which are relatively obvious and large folds, and we need to adjust the equipment or replace the material to solve it.
d. Film defect
Some membrane materials are inherently defective when they leave the factory, In the laminating process, operators need to check the quality of the film often. If the surface of the film is found to be defective, it must be replaced in time to avoid increasing material loss. It is recommended to install on-line automatic inspection equipment to check product quality, discover and deal with problems in time.
2. Bubbles
Some small bubbles often appear when laminating, and it is hard to completely avoid. So, what are the reasons for the film bubble?
a. The quality of the membrane itself
In the case of such defective raw materials, they can only be inspected frequently in the production process, found in time and replaced when necessary.
b. Uneven material surface
The uneven surface of the material here refers to the adhesive material covered with film.There are many reasons for the uneven surface of the adhesive material, such as the defects of the material itself, poor printing, etc.Faced with this problem, we can observe carefully to see whether the coated bubbles have regularity, and check whether the surface of the adhesive material is smooth at different light angles.
If there is no foreign body on the paper pressing roller of the equipment to press the material out of the pit, is the raw material itself defective. Finally, make a plan based on the reasons found,
c. Aging of roller surface
The aging roller can not press the film material and the printing material together, and it is easy to form bubbles. In this case, we can check whether the pressure roll has the aging phenomenon mentioned above, if so, the replacement of the pressure roll can solve the problem.
