Clothing neck labels of woven and printed mark have their own characteristics, we cannot tell who is better unilaterally.

Woven label is more traditional than printed label, usually made of polyester thread or cotton thread. Its advantages are good air permeability, no decolorization, clear lines, and make products appears in higher grade. The disadvantage is that the cost is higher, the yield is lower than the printed label, the cutting edge is hard which is not skin-friendly, and the finished product sometimes can’t perfectly match the original design drawing.

Printed labels are popular nowadays. They are generally printed with ink on satin, cotton, Tyvek and other materials. The advantage is that it is with lower cost but higher output than the woven label, the fabric is soft and smooth, the color is gorgeous and full, and it can perfectly show the details of the text LOGO, pattern even small letters. The disadvantage is poor air permeability comparing with woven labels.

Nowadays textile label technology has developed by leaps and bounds.

1. The advantages of woven label and printed label are gradually exploited and used, while the problems such as hard edge, fading color and poor air permeability have been greatly optimized and improved, and can even be ignored in high-end products.

2. Woven labels are mostly applied for underwear, suit clothing and textile weaving works of art, which are used to express introversion, maturity, connotation and high-grade;

3. Printing labels are mostly applied for outerwear, and fashion clothing; Suitable for the expression of publicity, fashion, sports, and personality.

4. With the development of clothing accessories, more and more labels are constantly applied, such as heat transfer labels, security labels, etc. Different label materials and printing methods are also constantly explored and applied. Woven and printed labels are often used together in a piece of clothing to express and convey different product information and brand images.
