Thermal label paper quality on the market is uneven, many users do not know how to identify the quality of thermal paper.
We can identify them in below seven ways:
1. Apperance
High density of coloration with clear printing letters, are one of the most important properties of thermal paper.
3. Storability
Inferior thermal paper preservation period is very short, good thermal paper writing generally has more than 2~3 years, and Special thermal paper preservation performance can reach more than 10 years. If it can still maintain clear coloration under the sun exposure for 1 day, which means it is with good storability.
4. Protective Performance
Some applications, such as labels and bills, require good protective performance, Thermal paper can be tested with water, oil, hand cream, etc
5. Adaptability of Print Head
Inferior thermal paper will easily cause abrasion of printing head, easy to stick to the print head. You can check this by examining the print head.
6. Roasting
Use a lighter to heat the back of the paper. If the color on the paper turns brown, it indicates that the heat-sensitive formula is not reasonable. If the black part of the paper has small stripes or uneven color patches, it indicates that the coating is not uniform. Better quality paper should be black with green (with a little green) after heating, and the color block is uniform, gradually fading from the center to the surrounding color.
7. Contrast identification of sunlight exposure
Apply the printed paper with a highlighter and place it in the sun (this will speed up the reaction of the thermal coating to light), Which paper is faster blackened, it indicates the shorter time it can be stored.
